Sequoyah Recognition Program

SAFETY

Sequoyah Electric, LLC is an industry leader when
it comes to recognizing the importance of safety.
Sequoyah’s emphasis on safety is paramount to both our employees’ health and the ultimate success of our company.  Safety is of the highest value for our company.  Our policy is to not only comply with, but to exceed all applicable federal, state, and local government standards regarding safety.

Each new employee is provided with safety orientation training on his or her date of hire. Supervisors and key employees regularly attend safety training classes sponsored by NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) and the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries. All employees are encouraged to attend special training programs, such as the OSHA 10-hour class and/or OSHA 30-Hour class and First Aid/CPR. Specific in-field training is provided for confined spaces, excavation and trenching, man-lift safety, fall protection and use of power actuated tools. Additional training is provided as necessary for potentially hazardous tasks as they arise on the job site.

For more information regarding our safety program, please contact Lynda Ryan, Director of Safety at lynda.ryan@sequoyah.com.

We believe that safety awareness training, education and commitment are the keys to encouraging safe behavior.  At the end of the day, we want everyone to safely return to their families.
